TIER 1 Portal Privacy Policy

This policy covers TIER 1 Portal, the athlete-facing iPhone and iPad app. TIER 1 coaches use a separate web portal to administer coaching services. The two products use the same TIER 1 backend so authorized coaches can assign content and support their athletes.

We process information you provide, information your authorized coach assigns to you, and limited records created when you use the app.

• Account and profile information, including name, email, sport, date of birth, gender, height, profile photo, and shopping-day preference.
• Nutrition and performance information, including assigned plans and targets, food journals, body weight, body-fat information when provided, hydration entries, pantry checks, and free-form weight notes.
• Coach-assigned recipes, education, research, notifications, and related content.
• Limited product-interaction events, such as app opens, recipe views, shopping-list use, hydration entries, weight entries, and pantry-check progress.
• Technical and security information produced by our hosting, authentication, and storage providers, such as request logs, timestamps, device or browser information, and network metadata.

We use this information to authenticate athletes, deliver coaching services, display assigned plans, calculate nutrition and shopping views, support account features, secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and improve TIER 1 Portal. We do not sell athlete information or use nutrition, body, or coaching information for targeted advertising.

Authorized TIER 1 coaches may access athlete information needed to provide coaching, assign plans, review progress, and communicate with athletes. Administrative access is limited to operating and protecting the service.

• Amazon Web Services provides authentication, API hosting, databases, storage, logs, and related infrastructure.
• Coach-assigned education may link to third-party services such as YouTube or Canva. Those services open only after you choose the link and are governed by the provider’s privacy terms.
• We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We retain athlete information while it is needed to provide coaching, operate the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention depends on the record and the coaching relationship. Athletes may request access, correction, export, or deletion through the app’s Settings screen or the TIER 1 Portal account-deletion page.

TIER 1 uses encrypted network connections, role-based authentication, restricted backend access, and platform security features to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Athletes should protect their device passcode and notify us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.

TIER 1 Portal supports nutrition and performance coaching. It is not an emergency service and does not replace diagnosis or treatment by a licensed medical professional. Contact emergency services for urgent medical needs.
